I'm back. I promise.
I'm finally settled in at B's place, and I'm finally home, home, home! I've found myself telling people that Syracuse wasn't TOO bad, but this is mostly due to the fact that I'm no longer in it. Graduation weekend was a whirlwind of activity, and it took nearly 1/10th of the time to move out of our apartment than it would have if it were just me and J because we had everyone helping. God bless the burden of family ties to force people into hard labor :) The actual graduation ceremony was pretty nice (surprisingly), and we all made it home in one piece.
J and I took a jog around B's neighborhood the other day, and I nearly wept at being back in an area where I didn't fear for my life anytime after 6pm, and where the air smelled so, so sweet. I had no idea how much I missed a really good grocery store until we went to the Whole Foods the other day, and I'm positive we could have bought everything in the store. I am a poster child for Type A personalities, and I'm a sucker for good packaging, so the beautiful way everything is displayed there makes me goosebump-y. The man over at the seafood section even gave us extra shrimp, just because! We didn't have to bribe or haggle or beg or anything! Hooray for friendly, un-grumpy people!
In addition to my "thank god I have a nice grocery store and a friendly neighborhood" utopia, I have eaten out maybe five times in the last five days, and I have loved it. Never at the same place, and always yummy.
Jer had his birthday festivities this past weekend. It actually started at the Clyde's of Gallery Place which is bee-yoo-ti-ful, on Wednesday, and then moved out to Reston Town Center and then to Camden Yards for a sweltering hot baseball game. And, of course, in the middle of all of this, we're going to our Bar review class in D.C. everyday (woo hoo, Crim Law!). Speaking of, we should be studying, and studying madly.
And, for all your patience, a picture scroll:

At the ballgame

Don't worry, the further away time takes you from your years at Syracuse, the more you will glorify them in your mind. It's strange and unfathomable at this point, but I've actually shed more than a few tears at the fact that I took it for granted while I was in it.
Congratulations, love. Study hard.

:) it does seem pretty unfathomable, but I can understand the feeling...and thanks! I'll try to study when I'm not busy being distracted by D.C. :)

Are you originally from Cuse? I moved here from there about 3 years ago and cannot ever imagine leaving!
Congrats!

I'm originally from the DC Metro area and went up to Syracuse for law school...I bitch and I moan about it, but it wasn't TOO bad, I'm just never going back unless someone knocks me unconscious and drags my limp body over the city limits :)
Thanks for the congrats!
